Some advice to succeed a fair

There was a time when almost anything went for organizers and exhibitors. Hotels, trips, board and lodging of the staff, stand set up and floor assembling and hiring, publishing, etc. In spite of the high cost that every exhibition supposed for a company, it was systematically scheduled to attend from fair to fair in a generic way. Time goes by and market trends have changed radically to offer segmented profiles of events to the exhibitor or visitors. So obsolete general fairs are giving way to more specialized exhibitions.

When small companies are affected by the crisis one of the first steps to take is to cut back in those areas not such essential for their normal business; and it includes attending exhibitions. By the way, some other countries with different business culture –such us the U.S. and Germany– they consider a crisis and a fair as an opportunity to improve business.
