The city of Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province in southwest China, is internationally known for its famous panda conservation center. With more than sixteen million inhabitants, it is considered the third best urban economy in the world in terms of growth and a strategic location for high-tech production.
In this beautiful Asian city, one of the oldest in the country, the StoneslikeStones team with Alung Wong has designed an unusual project in which the possibilities offered by polyester can be seen: the reproduction of the moon’s surface, moulded with Acquamastic MSD.
This sculptural ensemble is completed by the artistic application of MSD Panels concrete and rock, with a final paint finish selected and applied by the customer.
The specific characteristics of polyester make this material the ideal choice for very personal projects such as the one we present today, destined for public spaces with a lot of traffic, such as shopping centres in large cities.
These decorative works are made to last: they are resistant and easy to transport, clean and maintain in perfect condition.
The manufacturing processes are carried out in MSD Panels‘ facilities, which allows us to offer personalized responses to special orders that require creative study and development, with the highest quality control.
We select the most suitable materials with excellent finishes and extraordinary resistance, which are precisely adapted to their destination with the work of our collaborators at StoneslikeStones China.
